Taping is an effective tool used to help muscle and joint function. The type of tape and application is dependent on your injury and what is trying to be achieved. At Sports & Spinal Chiropractic Clinic we use both rigid taping and dynamic taping techniques.

Dymamic Tape

Dynamic tape (kinesiotape) provides extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered in the athletic training room or physical therapy clinic. The results are increased fluid flow through an injured area, better control over muscle contractions, reduced pain, and ultimately faster healing.

Rigid Tape

Rigid tape, unlike dynamic tape, does not stretch. This attribute allows us to apply the tape to joints which we want to restrict movement. Rigid tape aims to stabilize an area to ether allow it to heel without aggravation by movement, or to restrict movement in a joint to reduce chance of injury.
